As you probably already know, my name is Mr. D. I graduated from Nazareth Area High School in Nazareth, PA and have lived in the area my entire life. After high school, I went to Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA for my B.S. in biology before attending Lehigh University for my M.Ed. in secondary biology education. My main concentrations when working toward my biology degree were genetics and human anatomy. While at Moravian, I worked as part of a team sequencing the genomes of two species of fruit fly (D. grimshawi and D. mojavensis).

In my free time, I enjoy watching and playing sports as well as restoring classic cars. I helped build my first car before I could walk and have loved them ever since. My current projects include a 1968 Ford Falcon and 1993 Ford Mustang in my spare time. Baseball has always been an important part of my life and, in high school, I spent 4 years on the Nazareth Blue Eagles track and field team as a sprinter and pole vaulter. Now I am an avid runner and enjoy watching sports, especially baseball, football, and hockey. My favorite professional teams are the St. Louis Cardinals, New York Yankees, Lehigh Valley IronPigs, Green Bay Packers, and Hershey Bears. I have also coached a local Little League baseball team for the past 5 years, winning the championship the past 3 consecutive seasons.
When I am not working on cars, watching sports, or teaching biology, I am usually traveling somewhere. Although I have only been out of the country once (to Canada), I enjoy traveling all across the eastern United States. I have been to every state on the east coast except Maine and most states as far west as the Mississippi river. My favorite place that I have visited so far would have to be Busch Stadium in St. Louis or Disney World in Florida. I would love to visit Italy and Australia at some point.
If there is anything else you want to know, just ask me!
